How to Beat Hexapod

Hexapod opens with wide frontal appendage pressure, spread attacks, and a red-cued surge. Later in the encounter, homing projectiles add ranged pressure to the same fight.

Avoid holding position directly in front of the boss, move laterally around the frontal attacks, and keep arena cover available for the later projectiles.

Readable cues

Attacks & Counters

Frontal appendage swings

Cue
Hexapod spreads its appendages across a wide area in front of its body.
Safe response
Move laterally out of the frontal line. Harden can provide a safer response when an unfamiliar appendage sequence is difficult to read.

Red-cued surge

Cue
A red cue signals a forceful forward ram across the arena.
Safe response
Leave the direct path and create lateral distance before the surge reaches you.

Homing shots

Cue
Later ranged attacks track the player after leaving the boss.
Safe response
Keep moving and use arena cover to break the incoming line before returning to close range.
Decision framework

Core Strategy

  • Do not remain directly in front of Hexapod while its appendages are active.
  • Create lateral space before committing to a punish.
  • Save attention and nearby cover for the homing shots added later in the encounter.
