How to Get the Axatana

Reach the Forgotten Tower through the traversal-gate route, defeat the enemy inside, and collect the weapon from the alcove.

  1. Travel to Sester’s Refuge in Mammon and look south toward the Forgotten Tower.

  2. Find the bell on the distant cliffside and shoot it with a Sidearm to create the walkway to the nearby jump gate.

  3. Cross the walkway and use the jump gate to reach the Forgotten Tower.

  4. Enter the main structure, pass through the narrow opening beside the giant dead creature, and climb the stairs.

  5. About halfway up, leave through the crumbled side of the wall to reach another jump gate.

  6. Use that jump gate to travel left rather than right.

  7. Find the switch beside the gate, open it, and defeat the enemy waiting inside.

  8. Collect the Axatana from the alcove directly ahead.

Axatana Weapon Mechanics

Dual katana light form

Light attacks use the Axatana as two katanas. This is the weapon’s faster attack configuration.

Battle axe heavy form

Heavy attacks combine the two blades into a battle axe for the weapon’s heavier attack configuration.

How to Play the Axatana

Gameplay guidance

Axatana changes form through the attack input itself: light attacks bring out the dual katanas, while heavy attacks combine them into the battle axe. Plan each input around the form you want to use.

How does the Axatana transformation work?
