Proxima is a versatile Shell built around controlling distance with a grapple and applying Lightning during aggressive engagements. She suits players who want to move quickly between targets, interrupt enemy pressure, and keep close-range combat under control.
Biosampler converts distance into offensive momentum. It can pull a lighter enemy toward Proxima or carry her toward a target that cannot be displaced, letting her begin close-range pressure without a long approach.
The Lightning follow-up adds control after contact, while Grafted Armour can soften an incoming melee or ranged hit and prevent stagger when it triggers. Proxima combines initiation and protection, but her mitigation remains chance-based rather than guaranteed.
Fast travel to the Blackridge Pass Beacon in Fainweald.
Follow the path north through Blackridge Cliffs.
Continue toward the area where cultists and Treants are fighting.
Take the sloping path on the left toward the isolated structure.
Pass or defeat the spider-like enemy guarding the approach.
Enter the structure and interact with Proxima’s remains.
Complete the introductory memory sequence to unlock Proxima as a permanent Shell.
Proxima fires the hook mounted to her left arm. It pulls lighter enemies toward her or pulls Proxima toward targets that cannot be moved, then follows with an attack that applies Lightning.
Use it to close distance, isolate a lighter enemy, or reach a larger target without a long exposed approach.
Incoming melee or ranged attacks have a chance to be mitigated. When it triggers, the hit deals less damage and does not stagger Proxima.
It gives Proxima occasional protection while she commits to close-range pressure, but it should not be treated as guaranteed defence.
Treat Biosampler as a positioning tool rather than an automatic opener. Pull an isolated light enemy away from a group when that creates a safer engagement; against heavier targets, use the pull toward the enemy only when you are ready to continue attacking or immediately defend.
After the Lightning follow-up, capitalize on the interruption and then reassess your position before surrounding enemies respond. Grafted Armour supports this aggression, but its protection is chance-based. Proxima works as an adaptable close-range controller, not a Shell that can absorb every hit.
