Opening phase
Sword lines, repeated stomps, breath and ground hazards, and the tail grab establish the encounter’s initial pressure.
Final Campaign Boss
Zmey, the Unbidden is the final campaign boss at the end of The Unfound Path. The fight combines sword-line pressure, stomps, ground hazards, and a tail grab before stronger Cosmic pressure and Ring Waves join the encounter.
The Hidden Nave is the practical pre-fight Beacon and retry anchor for Zmey.
Endless Core is a Hidden Nave route pickup and is not a reward from Zmey.
Entering the arena does not end free roam; the point of no return is choosing Send Ova after the fight.
Recover 168 Ova, then return to the Siphon area at Marrow Keep to enter The Unfound Path. Complete all three Guardian branches, then travel through The Hidden Nave to the final arena.
Recover 168 Ova and use the Siphon area at Marrow Keep to enter The Unfound Path.
Complete the three Guardian branches in a flexible order by defeating Orrem, the Reclaimed, The Monolith, and Malborn Offspring.
After each Guardian, continue through that branch and sever its corrupted core.
Once all three corrupted branch cores are severed, return to the central route after the barrier clears.
Continue into The Hidden Nave and activate its Beacon.
Inside The Hidden Nave, opening the sealed gate requires giving up the Gloom you are currently carrying.
Continue through the final traversal and updraft to reach Zmey’s arena.
Complete the final traversal through The Hidden Nave and use the updraft to reach Zmey’s arena.
Opening the sealed Hidden Nave gate consumes the Gloom you are carrying. Seedbearer’s Scripture is optional preparation for Cosmic Disease pressure and does not gate the arena or victory.
Zmey opens with sword-line pressure, stomps, ground hazards, breath attacks, and a tail grab that punish staying too close without room to move.
Later in the fight, the earlier pressure remains while stronger Cosmic effects and Ring Waves demand wider arena awareness.
Sword lines, repeated stomps, breath and ground hazards, and the tail grab establish the encounter’s initial pressure.
Zmey retains the earlier attacks while adding stronger Cosmic pressure and Ring Waves across the arena.
Awarded for defeating Zmey, the Unbidden.
After Zmey is defeated, the player returns to Marrow Keep, free roam remains available, and Send Ova becomes available.
Choosing Send Ova starts New Game Plus. This choice, rather than entering the arena or defeating Zmey, is the point of no return.
The PC / Steam Week 1 Update corrected the normal-mode tail grab so it no longer removes both Shell and Harbinger from full health, while Night Mode retained the lethal behavior. It also fixed Ring Wave ground alignment and updated stomp and elemental visuals.
Zmey is reached after The Hidden Nave at the end of The Unfound Path. Use the final traversal and updraft beyond the Beacon to enter the arena.
Recover 168 Ova to enter The Unfound Path, defeat Orrem, The Monolith, and Malborn Offspring in any order, and sever all three corrupted branch cores. The central barrier then clears the route toward The Hidden Nave.
Yes. All three Guardians must be defeated and all three branch cores severed, but the Guardian order is flexible.
Use The Hidden Nave Beacon. It is the practical checkpoint for the final traversal and later attempts.
Opening the sealed gate on the normal Hidden Nave route requires giving up the Gloom you are currently carrying.
Zmey has no normal item Boss drop. Defeating the boss awards It’s over now? and returns the player to Marrow Keep, where Send Ova becomes available. Endless Core is a separate Hidden Nave route pickup.
No. After the fight, the player returns to Marrow Keep and can continue free roaming. New Game Plus begins only after choosing Send Ova, which is the point of no return.
No. Seedbearer’s Scripture is optional preparation against Cosmic Disease pressure and does not gate access to the arena or victory.
